Privacy Policy.
The short version
The current app stores its player profile on your device. This website provides shop and tournament previews, optional audio controls, a browser-local workout planner, a link to our Kit early-access signup, a group chat you sign in to with an emailed code, and Dominant TV, which plays videos from YouTube when you press Play. Email signup does not create a connected game account. Live player records and website checkout are not connected.
Who we are
Dominologist Dominoes and this website, dominologistdominoes.com, are run by James Barker III LLC, 7619 Sheridan Rd #3325, Kenosha, WI 53143. Email: support@dominologistdominoes.com.
Part 1. The app
What stays on your device
Your table name, friend code, Dominologist Dollars, jewelry, hand look, Score Book, workout log, rivals list, table chat, saved call-out lines and your Play 2 Pay record (who played, the scores and who pays the bill; no money moves in the app) are stored only on your device (and in your own backups).
These are kept in your device's Keychain, which is on your device too:
- your profile: table name, friend code, profile photo, hand look and rap sheet
- your Dollars, jewelry, debts, Dr.'s excuses and waits, and the jackpot
- your City Bank account: its play-money transactions and monthly totals
- your Inmate books: money on your books, your locker, Rep, yard stats, Lay-in Slips and trophies
- your College record: courses, lessons, diplomas, quiz marks and grants
- the Dominologist City Bank: the city's play money and its daily ledger
- your record against each computer level, your Weekly Ladder progress and your Gym class records
- any game or tournament in progress
- your age answer (yes or no)
- the app's own clock, so changing the device's date or time doesn't shorten a wait
- your signer ID, and your last 20 signed Plea Bargains with the names of the people who signed them, including names typed in for guests
- a spare copy of any of these that couldn't be read, so it can be recovered
The Keychain items aren't synced through iCloud Keychain and are never sent to us. We don't receive any of it.
Your age
The first time you open the app, it asks your age: through Apple's age range sharing on iOS 26 and later, or by your birth date. It keeps only whether you're 18 or older, yes or no, in your device's Keychain. If you skip the question, that's kept as no. Your birth date and Apple's answer aren't saved, and nothing about your age leaves your device.
Things you choose to send or record
- Call outs and shared scores are sent by you, from your own Messages, Mail or share sheet. They go to the people you pick, and we never see them.
- Video call outs and pay-up videos are recorded with your camera and microphone, only when you tap record. They're saved on your device and only leave it if you send or share them.
- Gym classes for a workout you owe: if you start a Gym class that counts toward a workout you owe, and you've allowed the camera, the front camera films your sets from the moment the class starts. You don't tap record, and the camera's picture shows on screen while it films. The film is the proof for your pay-up. It's video only, with no sound. It stays in a temporary folder on your device and is deleted once the pay-up is ruled on, or when the class closes.
- Game clips and live streams: when you start a recording or a live broadcast, iOS records the game screen (and your microphone, if it's on). A clip stays on your device until you share or save it. A live broadcast goes to the streaming app you pick, under that app's own privacy policy.
- Contacts: when you pick a friend from your contacts, iOS gives the app only that one contact. The app never reads your whole address book.
- Location: only if you track a run or walk you owe after a loss, iOS gives the app your location while you're tracking. Measuring the distance needs precise location, so if you've set the app to approximate location, iOS asks whether to allow precise location for that run only. Only the distance is kept. Your route and location are never stored or shared, and nothing else in the app uses your location.
- Photos: when you save a score card or a video to Photos, the app can only add it. It can't see the photos already in your library, except what you pick yourself in the system picker, and iOS gives the app only that: one video you pick yourself for a pay-up (the app keeps a copy on your device for the pay-up), your profile photo (kept with your profile on your device; choosing it doesn't publish it to this website), or a gym photo or clip you pick to post. The Mook Camp restyle (the gym's colors and name signs, and blurring other people's faces) runs on your device. Nothing is uploaded; the finished photo or clip goes only where you share it.
- Music: if you allow it, the app shows and controls the song that's playing in Apple Music.
- Hands-free rep counting: if you turn it on and allow the microphone and speech recognition, the app listens for the rep numbers you say during a workout. Recognition runs on your device only. No sound or words are recorded, kept or sent.
- Spoken voices: the workout coach is spoken by a voice built into iOS, on your device, and the Mall's announcements and the storefront lease walkthrough are Emerald's recordings, which come with the app. Nothing is recorded.
- Heart-rate monitor: if you connect a Bluetooth heart-rate strap you choose, iOS lets the app read it during a workout. Your heart rate is only shown on screen while you work out. It isn't saved or shared, and the app doesn't use Apple Health.
Purchases
Any purchase in the app is made through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple handles the payment under its own terms. We receive no payment details. Coming soon: real money will buy a piece of jewelry itself, never Dominologist Dollars, and a piece bought with real money will be locked to you: it can't be pawned, bet, sold back or turned into Dollars. Dominologist Dollars are play money: they can't be bought, cashed out, transferred or exchanged for anything of real value.
What the app connects to
The app uses Apple services for supported purchases, age checks, music and device features. Website and social links open the chosen destination, whose own policies apply. Workout summaries can be shared with supported companion devices through Apple Watch Connectivity when configured. There is no connected public website record feed yet.
Part 2. This website
Website features and local storage
The website uses JavaScript for navigation features, sound controls, workout records and the tournament board. The workout planner saves entries in this browser’s local storage; they are not automatically sent to the app or published. The retired browser samples no longer run. Sound preferences may also be stored locally. Export your records before clearing browser data or moving devices. People using the same browser can access its saved records.
Gymstagram preview
Gymstagram post text drafts and personal check-ins are saved only in this browser. Selected photos and videos are previewed during the current session, not uploaded or stored with drafts. A filename may be saved as a reminder to reattach it. Public profiles, posts, comments and follows are not connected. Anyone using this browser can access its private drafts.
Early-access email signup
The signup link opens our form hosted by Kit. Kit receives information you submit, including your email and optional platform or tournament preferences, to manage our launch-update subscription and confirmation messages. Use the unsubscribe link in an email or contact support to request help. A visit to the public welcome page alone does not confirm a subscription.
Visit records
This site is hosted by Namecheap, Inc. Like every web host, its servers keep a log of each visit: your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, the page you came from (if your browser sends it) and your browser and device type. The host keeps these logs for a limited time, for security and to keep the site running. The hosting control panel also adds them up into traffic totals (visits by day, page and country). We look only at those totals, and we don't use the logs to identify anyone.
Group chat
Anyone can read the group chat on the Community page and on Dominant TV. To post, you give us your email address, we email you a 6-digit code, and you pick a player name. We keep your email (never shown in the chat; only we see it), your player name, your messages and their times, the players you block, the reports you make, and a sign-in cookie in this browser for 90 days. Messages are kept for 90 days. Against spam and abuse we also keep a scrambled form of your IP address, which can't be turned back into the address, for 30 days. Codes are emailed through our web host's mail and work for 10 minutes. Anyone can read what you post, so don't post private information. We may delete messages and mute or ban players under the House Rules. You can delete your chat account at any time (in the chat: Account, then Delete my chat account): your email, name and messages are removed. The chat is for adults 18 and older.
Dominant TV
Dominant TV shows a plain picture until you press Play or pick a video. Then the video or live stream loads from YouTube (Google), which receives your IP address and browser details and may set cookies under its own privacy policy; posted YouTube videos use its privacy-enhanced mode. Videos we upload ourselves play from this site.
Email you send us
If you email support@dominologistdominoes.com, we receive your email address, your name if your email shows it, and whatever you write or attach. Our mailbox is hosted by Namecheap Private Email (Namecheap, Inc.).
- Why: only to answer you. If you ask to hear first when something comes out (the game, a book, merch), we also send you that one note when it's out.
- Sharing: we don't sell or share your email. A hear-first request isn't a mailing list: we send that one note and nothing else.
- How long: we delete emails and the addresses in them within 24 months of your last message, or sooner if you ask. A hear-first request is kept until we send that note, or for 24 months, whichever comes first. After that, ask again.
- Adults only for hear-first notes: they're for people 18 and older.
Companies that help us
Our web host and our email provider (named above) handle this information only to provide their services to us, under their own privacy policies, which protect it at least as well as this policy does. Apple handles purchases in the app. Kit handles information submitted through its early-access form. YouTube (Google) plays Dominant TV’s videos and live streams when you press Play. Other services receive information when you choose to open their links or share with them.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Optional external services, including Kit signup and linked social platforms, have their own privacy settings and policies. Browser-local workout records are separate from those services.
Coming later
The email list is available through Kit. Connected player accounts, public game records, online tournament reservations, Gymstagram publishing and website checkout remain in development.
Children
The game includes simulated gambling with play money and will be rated 18+. It isn't directed to children. This website is for a general audience and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a child under 13 emails us, we may reply once, then we delete the email and the address and never keep it as a hear-first request. A parent can email us to have a child's email deleted.
Your choices
- See, correct or delete what we hold: email us. We'll tell you what we have (including support emails and early-access subscription information) and correct or delete it.
- The group chat: delete your chat account at any time from the chat (Account, then Delete my chat account), or email us.
- Change your mind: if you asked to hear first, email us to take that back at any time, and we won't write.
- The app: deleting the app removes what it stored on your device, except what's kept in the Keychain (the list under "What stays on your device"). iOS keeps those after an app is deleted, so reinstalling picks up where you left off. Erasing the device removes them too. Your backups follow your own iCloud or computer settings.
Changes to this policy
We'll post every change here with a new effective date. If a change affects how we use an email address we hold, we'll email that person before the change takes effect. If online play, accounts or a community board come to the app, this policy will be updated before any information leaves your device, and the app will tell you.
