The answers below are about Dominologist Dollars ($), the game's play money. They have no cash value.
How much can I bet?
What you have, up to the room's limit: The Spot $1 to $500, Double D's Bar $100 to $5,000 ($1,000 to sit), Club Dominology $10,000 to $100,000 ($100,000 to sit). A loss costs the bet, twice the bet on a skunk and four times on a Skunk Domination. What you can't cover, the City Bank covers, and that's a bond plus 15% court at the DCF. Jewelry never goes on the line: it's bought, worn, sold and pawned in the Pawn Shop.
I'm out of Dollars. Can I still play?
Yes. At $0 you're booked into the DCF, and you play your way out: every finished game inside (Inmate tables or the Inmate Gym) against the computer earns release progress, 40 for a win and 20 for a loss, and 100 releases you. Forfeits don't count. On release your house bans end and the City Bank brings you back to $1,000.
I owe a workout. Can I still play?
Yes. Mook Camp Fitness and DCF Inmate Gym are locked until you pay up (on video, by GPS, on your word, with a Plea Bargain, Dr.'s excuses in the city, or Lay-in Slips or a Commissary buyout inside). Every other table still plays, and a new loss adds to what you owe.
Can I turn off the Community Service clock?
Not on a Cash bet. Every Cash bet runs it: 20 seconds a turn at Rookie, then 17, 14, 11 and 8, down to 6 at Dominologist, and court is stricter (felony court is 5). With VoiceOver or Switch Control on, every clock gets 10 seconds more. With 2 or more players at the table it's always on, and so are courts, DCF and tournaments: with an open ticket or a felony on your file, at every table inside, and in every tournament game, there's no switch. A friendly game against the computer (bragging rights) is the only table where it's yours to choose: it's off until you turn it on, in the table's menu (⋮). Off means no clock at that table.
When a computer runs out its clock, its timeout goes in the Clock Jar, and a win empties the jar to you. On a Cash bet you get each timeout's Community Service fine (10% of the bet) on top of your win; on a canteen bet inside, each fine in soups to your locker. At any other table (a workout, Mook Camp, the yard, a tournament), a computer breaking the clock earns you one Dr.'s excuse a game (a Lay-in Slip inside), up to 3 a week from the jar. A loss pays nothing, and court tables don't count. Also, at your Cash table, if you've had no timeouts there that game, one of your Community Service tickets is expunged and its fine comes back (with no open tickets, you bank a clean-record credit instead). Once a game, inside the 5 bonuses a day. The computer is still booked on the DCF roster.
What can I be arrested for?
Every arrest names its charges. Each Community Service ticket (the clock ran out on a cash bet) is 1 count of Holding a Table Hostage. At every 5th open ticket you're arrested for 5 counts of Holding a Table Hostage — this booking, not every open ticket on your file. Five timeouts in one turn is 5 counts of Holding a Table Hostage (in one turn). 5 tickets (or Mook Camp dumbbells) in one tournament game is a Class F felony, Holding a Tournament Table Hostage: a $20,000 fine, and your case goes straight to Felony court. Sitting at a house you're banned from is Trespassing at a Banned House. The arrest sheet lists this table, this booking and tickets on file, then the charges, your court, your bond and the house you're banned from until bond is posted.
Do computers go to jail?
They land on this phone's DCF Inmate Roster for the same ticket and five-in-one-turn crimes. They never open your arrest sheet or the cuffing scene. Visiting Table still does not jail anyone.
Can someone post my bond from a website?
Unsolicited (website or third-party) bond is 10% less than the in-person DCF window. The inmate does not receive that money as Cash. The roster & bond page in the app is a preview: it cannot post, and a public website roster needs a server. Post your own bond at the DCF desk on this phone.
I closed the app in the middle of a game.
Open it again: the game picks back up where it was. On a Gym clock, the clock keeps running while the app is closed, so if it was your turn, every clock that ran out while you were away is a dumbbell (five in a turn forfeits). Quitting, or starting another game, counts as a loss.
I need a refund for a purchase.
Purchases in the app are made through Apple. For refunds, use reportaproblem.apple.com.
What will real money buy?
Coming soon: buying a piece with real money isn't open yet. Every ring, watch and bracelet sits on a level, from 250,000 Dollars (Level 1) up to 50,000,000 (One of One), and every piece on a level costs the same. For now, win the Dollars at the tables. When it opens, real money will buy the piece itself through Apple, never Dominologist Dollars, and a piece bought that way will be yours to wear and show, locked to you: it can't be pawned, bet, sold back or turned into Dollars. Restore Purchases, in the Cash Point, will bring it back on a new phone.
Are Dominologist Dollars real money?
No. They're play money: they're never sold, and they can't be cashed out or sent to anyone.
Does deleting the app reset my Dollars or a debt?
No. Your profile, Dollars, jewelry, debts, Dr.'s excuses, waits and any game in progress are kept in your device's Keychain, so a reinstall picks up where you left off.
How do I add a friend?
Share your friend code (DOM-XXXXX) from your profile, or enter theirs under Play Friends → Call out a friend. Codes link to real profiles once online play launches; until then, call friends out by text or email.
Can I play people online?
Not yet. The Looking for Smoke lobby and tournaments are played against computer players on your device.
