Puerto Rico · Boneyard County
¡Wepa! Boneyard City plays it the island's way.
Dominó de parejas, a lo puertorriqueño: Doscientos y Quinientos, capicú, chuchazo y tranque. Bienvenidos a la casa de Felipe.
Felipe's House is open in Boneyard County, right beside Peggy's Trailer and Uncle Larry's House. Partners, seven bones each, nobody draws, and every bone on the table counts.
Felipe's table
A classic square Puerto Rican domino table: a wood rim, cup holders in the corners, deep blue felt and the flag on the rim. You sit across from your partner, and play runs counter-clockwise.
It's a calm table. Bones are laid, never slammed, and nobody talks over the game.
How the island plays · Cómo se juega
- La mesa. Four players, two teams, partners across. All 28 bones are dealt, seven each. No boneyard, nobody draws.
- La salida. The 6-6 opens the first hand. After that, whoever won the last hand leads any bone.
- Juega o pasa. If something fits, you play it. If nothing fits, you say "paso" and knock the table.
- El dominó. Go out and your team counts every bone left on the table, all four hands, your partner's too.
- El tranque. Nobody can play? The team holding fewer pips takes the whole table.
- Doscientos. First team to 200. Make the next player pass: 20 for the first time in the hand, 10 after. Counted in tens, like the chips.
- Quinientos. First team to 500. Capicú (out on a bone that fits either end) +100, chuchazo (out on the 0-0) +100, and 100, 75, 50, 25 for the first four hands.
